About Wykoff Bros Farm

James Wykoff started farming on a plot of land just west of Historic
New Carlisle in the late 1800’s. Howard Wykoff, James’s son took over the
farm and continued to grow the crops and livestock. The Wykoff Dairy
provided a restaurant and ice cream parlor for travelers to the Chicago World’s
fair in 1933, some of which still remains today.

The principles that Howard instilled in his son, Richard Wykoff were hardwork, honesty and dependability. Richard continued to expand the family farm and passed these values on to his son, Dan Wykoff. These principles remain the cornerstone of our operation today.

Today, Jason and Gretchan Wykoff along with their children operate Wykoff Bros Farms as a diverse service oriented company, which specializes in seed corn and seed beans for Monsanto. The operation also produces corn, soybeans and vegetables for the commercial market.

At Wykoff Bros Farms we feel the farmer today is more of an ecologist in today’s modern farming operations. We strive to reduce our carbon footprint by adapting the most modern technology and innovative farming practices such as strip till.

As the world’s demand for food increases it is imperative to look to the future and how we can make less of an impact on the environment, all the while improving our operation.
